Presidents Welcome
Its my pleasure to welcome you to Washington
County Community College. I am pleased that you
are getting acquainted with our college. For more
than 35 years we have been providing quality
education for citizens in our region, for the
state, and for people who are now scattered throughout
the United States. WCCC is a quality institution
working to provide excellent service to our students
and the communities which we serve, and we are preparing
our graduates very well for whatever careers they choose.
Your selection of WCCC as your college of choice
will challenge you and will provide you with an
opportunity to grow. WCCC has excellent programs
and options, allowing high school students to
transfer some credits to the college and allowing
WCCC graduates to transfer WCCC credits to four
year institutions. Whether you are looking for
an associate degree program, or a diploma or certificate
program, you will find that WCCCs programs,
courses and training will expand your knowledge
as well as challenge your thinking.

Our Mission
The mission of Washington County
Community College is to serve the State of Maine
and the region with comprehensive, post-secondary,
transfer and/or technical education, culminating
with the Associate Degree, Diploma, and/or Certificate.
WCCCs programs and services prepare and
sustain a diverse student body as competitive
members of a world-class workforce and contributing
members of society.
Our Vision
The vision of Washington County
Community College is:
- To foster the development
of academic, technical and leadership skills
of students seeking degrees in technical fields;
- To provide students with
the academic foundation to transfer to 4-year
colleges;
- To instill an appreciation
for his or her individual responsibility for
citizenship and leadership in a multicultural
society;
- To provide lifelong educational
experiences for individuals;
- To provide out-of-class learning
experiences in the environment of a quality
