2012 WCCC GraduationThe following section summarizes estimated expenses for Washington County Community College students for the 2014-2015 academic years. All expenses are subject to change, without notice, by the Maine Community College System’s Board of Trustees.

Tuition Rates
 Maine Resident Students $90 per credit hour
 New England Regional Students $135 per credit hour
 New Brunswick Students $135 per credit hour
 Non-Resident Students $180 per credit hour


General Fees
Application Fee Free
Admission Deposit $75.00
Comprehensive Fee 10% of total credit hour tuition
Academic Course Fees 10% of applicable credit hour tuition
Technology Course Fees 20% of applicable credit hour tuition
Student Document Fee $10
Parking Fee $1 per credit hour
Student Senate Activity Fee $25 per semester/$23 for summer semester
Recreation Fee $25 per semester/$20 for summer semester
Graduation Fee $75
Accident & Sickness Insurance Plan**
    12-month plan starting 8/16 $745.00
     9 month plan starting 1/1 $469.00
Liability Insurance $22 per applicable course

**Students who are enrolled in a comparable health insurance plan can waive this fee up until the 2nd week of the semester by completing the waiver form available in the Student Enrollment Department.

Professional Climbing Instructor Certification $35
Natural Gas and Propane Testing Fees $85 – $110
Phlebotomy Exam Fee $135.00
AACP Testing Fee $135.00
Welding Certification Fees $225 – $275
Transcript Fee $10 per on-demand transcript
Credit by Examination Fee $25
Portfolio Assessment Fee $90.00 for first credit hour, plus 20 percent of credit hour charge for each credit thereafter.
Directed/Independent Study Fee $135 per credit hour
Experiential Credit Fee $144 per credit hour



Residence Halls Room, Board & Related Fees
Fall & Spring $1,810.00 per semester
Summer $ 675.00 (6 weeks)
Residence Hall Room Security Deposit $ 150.00


Please note:  Tuition, fees, and room and meal plan rates are approved by the MCCS Board of Trustees annually.  The College reserves the right to make adjustments to the estimated charges and expenses as necessary.  All applicants acknowledge this right by the submission of an application for admission or by registration.
