field. Through an intensive, lab-orientated course,
students are introduced to the industry and learn
to maintain automotive equipment. Emphasis is
placed on understanding automotive principles
and learning to identify and solve mechanical
problems. The course provides a solid background
in the field, through hands on experience, enabling
students to continue to acquire skills for future
technology. The program is certified by the National
Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)
in the areas of brakes, electrical electronic
systems, engine performance and suspension & steering.
The Associate in Applied Science in Vehicle Service

and light commercial motor vehicles. The program
enables students to develop skills needed for
the diagnosis as well as repair and maintenance
of vehicle systems to include brakes, suspension
