Heavy Equipment-Operation
Students in the Heavy Equipment
Operation certificate program learn to operate
a variety of equipment including bulldozers, backhoes,
front-end loaders, graders and dump trucks. The
winter semesters provide the student with the
opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of
heavy equipment mechanics through classroom work
and practical experience. Emphasis is placed on
the maintenance of drive train, running gear,
engine components and equipment hydraulics.
