Community Education & Industry Services


The Community Education Division of the college offers credit and non credit offerings, as well as, customized business and industry training. The division provides superb up-to-date training in a wide variety of areas. Courses can be taught at basic, intermediate or advanced levels, depending on particular needs of the trainees and be scheduled on campus or onsite during the day, evening or weekend..
 
In addition, children’s camps, vocational programs, elderhostel and non-credit courses are offered for personal enrichment and enjoyment.

In our effort to provide affordable, accessible, and flexible education, WCCC has developed educational services for the communities of the Washington County area.

These educational services enhance the college’s academic offerings and vary each semester.

Business & Customized Training

WCCC can provide no cost and low cost training to companies who plan on expanding and hiring new employees in Washington County. WCCC can design a training package for a specific company with as few as eight new employees. The package may include screening and testing of applicants through Maine Quality Centers. Ask us about MQC training.

For companies who plan to do training to upgrade their current workforce, WCCC can provide training when funding is secured through the Governor’s Training Initiative. Please contact WCCC’s Division of Community Education and Industry Services for more information on either of these programs. WCCC is committed to providing opportunity for economic growth in Washington County.

Credit, Non-Credit, and CEU’s

Classes can be taught at basic, intermediate or advanced levels, depending on particular needs of the trainees. Credit is granted at the option of the client. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for courses that apply.
