Human Service Instructor
Full-Time Faculty Position
Washington County Community College is seeking applicants to fill a full-time faculty position as a Human Service Instructor starting the 2014-15 academic year.
Responsibilities: Teach Human Service related classes 15 to 18 credit hours a week and manage student clinical experiences; day/evening schedule; teaches in both traditional and distance education (including online) settings. This position will be responsible for classroom teaching to include assessment, record-keeping, curriculum and syllabus reviews, maintaining supplies, maintaining a safe environment , and comply with pertinent federal, state, MCCS and WCCC regulations; student academic advising, committee work, professional development activities, curriculum development, contact with students outside the classroom, participation in college activities, and other professional duties related to the position. Candidate must have strong teaching, leadership, critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degreein social work, counseling or closely related field, Master’s degree with at least 18 credit hours in Human Service related course work preferred; experience working in the Human Service field; sound understanding of pedagogy and the ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and academic support services to meet the needs of students and the college.

Bargaining Unit/Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit/salary commensurate with credentials and experience; typically between $34,575 - $43,798
