WCCC SCHOLARSHIPS

The following scholarships are given based on need and specific criteria depending on your scholarship selection.  Each scholarship listed has its own application requirements, review process, deadline and resident limitations.  The Scholarship Committee and individual scholarship requirements will determine how funds will be disbursed.  To apply, complete a WCCC Scholarship application unless otherwise stated.  The WCCC Scholarship Committee will evaluate the criteria.

Thelma Swain Scholarship

The recipient in need may also be nominated by faculty and/or staff based upon the criteria.

 

 

  • Enrolled full-time in either the Plumbing, Carpentry,   or Electrical programs at WCCC. 
  • Making satisfactory academic progress.
  • Demonstrated financial need by completing the financial aid application.
  • Resident of Maine.

Notification sent via WCCC email during Fall and Spring semesters.

Winnie Doane Scholarship

Given in memory of Winnie Doane. The recipient in need may also be nominated by faculty and/or staff based upon the criteria.

  • Enrolled full-time in a Plumbing, Heating, Carpentry, or Electrical programs at WCCC.
  • Making satisfactory academic progress.
  • Residents of Maine will be given first priority, but scholarship may be awarded to a non-resident if the scholarship committee wishes.

 

Carl Sonny Rollins Memorial Scholarship

The Recipient in need may also be nominated by faculty and/or staff based upon the criteria.

 

  • Enrolled full-time in the Heavy Equipment Operation program at WCCC.
  • Making satisfactory academic progress.
  • Demonstrated financial need by completing the financial aid application.

 

WCCC Student Senate Scholarship

  • Must participate in college & high school activities, community involvement.
  • Must be enrolled at WCCC.

 

Eastport Chamber of Commerce

 

 

  • Successfully completed the first semester in the Culinary Arts program at WCCC.
  • Must have a 2.0 GPA or better.
  • Be a Washington County Resident
  • Must have financial aid need.
 

Faculty Association

 

  • WCCC Student of the Year Recipient.

 

WCCC General Scholarship

 

 

  • Enrolled in a WCCC program and making satisfactory academic progress according the student catalogue (WCCC standards).

 

Dr. Flahive Family Scholarship

Given in memory of Charles & Annamay Flahive

  • Must be enrolled in a secretarial or building construction program at WCCC.
  • Community involvement.
  • Commitment to work, family and community.
 

 Evelyn Damon Memorial Scholarship

 

 

 

 

  • Awarded to a professional who is committed to a career in the food service industry. Must be a full-time or part-time food service or dietary employee, must have industry-related experience which reflects your commitment to a food service career. Two hundred word essay describing the above areas and resume required.
  • Making satisfactory academic progress according to WCCC standards.

 

 

 

 

 WCCC Book Scholarship

 

  • Awarded to any student who demonstrates academic excellence with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
