Liberal Studies
The Associate in Liberal Studies
Degree can help you overcome these obstacles.
Enrolling in this Associate Degree will better
prepare you to make that lifetime career decision.
At the end of two years, you may smoothly transfer
as a junior into a Baccalaureate Degree program.
Best of all, you will have saved money while making
your career decision.
To ensure the seamless transition to a four-year
Baccalaureate Degree program, WCCC has formed
articulation agreements with four-year Colleges
and the Maine Community College System and the
University of Maine System has developed a program,
called Advantage
U, to provide a streamlined transfer
process from Washington County Community College
to a Maine public university.
Liberal Studies courses are offered during the
day, in the evening and online. Students may enroll
in a course of two or enroll fulltime. WCCC offers
student support services and provides students
with academic and personal counseling to assist
in student success. Developmental classes are
available to enhance and refresh basic academic
skills. The College also has a TRIO
Student Support Services Program. This program
is a federal-funded grant program established
to help students stay in college, succeed, graduate
and transfer to four-year college programs.
