Need Help with your Financial Aid Application? FAME will be here January 27 to help!

January 12, 2015

The Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) will hold a sponsored event at Washington County Community College, Riverview Hall (Main Building) from 11am -12:30pm and 4-6pm on January 27, 2015 in rooms 316 and 317.   Assistance will be provided to all students and attending parents with the completion of the 2015/2016 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) regardless of college or university choice. This will take approximately 7 minutes or less to complete.

Returning students should bring their FAFSA PIN codes.

Parents and students will need to know their Social Security Numbers and estimated 2014 tax information (if they file).

Completing your FAFSA will ensure you have access to Federal Student Aid and the Maine State Grant (up to $1,000 per school year) and you will be entered into a drawing for an additional $1,000 FAME scholarship.

To be considered eligible for the Maine State Grant, you have to complete your FAFSA no later than May 1st each year you attend a Maine college or university. We recommend you complete it in January as many other private scholarship donors will need a copy of your Student Aid Report that comes from completing the FAFSA.

Free food and refreshments will be available in the assembly room area.

If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Financial Aid, William O’Shea at 207-454-1033 or send him an email at fa@wccc.me.edu.

We hope to see you there!
