Calais, ME – A new Toyota Prius was delivered to WCCC today which will allow our Automotive Technology Program to provide instruction on maintenance and repair of hybrid and electric vehicles! Through our Workforce Development Division, Automotive Video Innovations (AVI) and The Group Training Academy came to campus in June with their award winning vehicle and provided training on hybrid and electric vehicles. This new equipment allows us to offer this instruction in the future on a regular basis and was purchased with funds through the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan and the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce.
