Washington County Community College Signs Articulation Agreement with New England College of Business

December 1, 2015

The students of Washington County Community College’s Business Management program now have the ability to seamlessly transfer the credits they have earned at WCCC to the New England College of Business, thanks to a recently signed articulation agreement between the two schools.

The agreement grants students who have attained an associate’s degree in the science of business management the option of completing two additional years at NECB to attain a bachelor’s degree in the science of business administration, international business, or digital marketing. Based in Boston, NECB is a competitively priced, nationally accredited university with an acclaimed online program.

Clifford said that four year institutions in general “are noticing the academic rigor and high quality of education that we’ve always had,” and the impetus is therefore in place for more articulation agreements such as this to be formed. “We want our students to transfer—we want our students to carry as many credits as they can with them, because they received an outstanding education here at WCCC.”

Giving students the opportunity to transfer to the business program at NECB enables them to continue gaining a high-quality education. At WCCC, the business program is unique in that it focuses on entrepreneurship and international commerce, two elements that work superbly within NECB’s framework of business degrees.
