Washington County Community College would like to introduce Kayli Doten as our new full time Nursing faculty member.

Kayli has dreamed of becoming a Nurse. To make her dream become a reality, she attended Husson University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Now she is currently enrolled in a Nursing Leadership program at the University of Southern Maine. She will graduate from USM in August of 2023 with her Master of Science in Nursing: Nursing Administration and Leadership.

Kayli is a State of Maine licensed Registered Nurse, is certified by the American Heart Association in advanced cardiovascular life support, and basic life support.

“We are pleased to have Kayli onboard,” says Darin McGaw, Academic Dean at WCCC.  “She will help us partner with EMCC to offer a Nursing cohort this fall and then be integral to the creation of a WCCC Nursing program.”

“As a registered nurse I have experience in medical/surgical at Down East Community Hospital, as well as Incenter Hemodialysis and home Peritoneal Dialysis at Sunrise County Dialysis,” Kayli mentioned.

As the lead faculty member for nursing, Kayli will be working closely with Eastern Maine Community College as they deliver their ASN program onsite at WCCC this fall.

Kayli is excited to see what the development of this program will be able to accomplish for the future of Nursing education at WCCC and within our community.
