The following summer camps are available for registration:
Baby Sitting
July 15-17 9:00am – 11:30am
Ages 11 and up
Come learn the skills and techniques necessary to help you in becoming a babysitter! Topics include: understanding the likes and dislikes of children, games and play time activities and solutions to some of the most common problems!
Cost is $50

Basketball Clinic
July 31, August 1-2, 9:00am – 2:00pm
Grades 1-6, 9:00am – 10:30am
Grades 7-12, 11:00am – 2:00pm
Join camp director, Chris “CT” Taylor, Calais native and Basketball Operations Coordinator for the Indiana Pacers, as well as his fellow coaches, for a basketball camp like no other, covering various techniques. Lunch not included-please pack a lunch, snacks and water!

Fly Fishing
Dry Land Fly Casting Session:
June 28, 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Learn about basic equipment and techniques to get you started. Instruction is a combination of classroom and both indoor and outdoor dry-land casting with coaching from the instructor. All equipment included. Minimum age is 8 and maximum capacity is 12 students. Cost: $25

River Fishing Session:
June 29, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Head to the river with Todd Cushing to try your new skills. Meet at WCCC and travel to Grand Lake Stream where you will learn where to find fish in a river environment, how to present your fly, set the hook, and land fish. All equipment and transportation is included, as well as a shore lunch! Participants must also register for the Dry Land Casting Session on Friday, June 28 (see info above). Minimum age is 12 and maximum capacity is 8 students. Cost: $45.

Healthcare
Healthcare Camp at WCCC & Calais Regional Hospital:
July 8, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Visit the campus of Washington County Community College for a day of hands-on experience in healthcare. Campers will have the opportunity to give injections, draw blood, and take vital signs on patient simulators at WCCC then will go to Calais Regional for hands-on activities in the lab, pharmacy, respiratory and radiology departments. Registration is limited to 12 students. The camp is coordinated by WCCC Instructor, Amada Colpitts and is open to high school students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Lunch is included. This camp is FREE!

Art Camp
August 5-9 9:00am – noon (with a Student Art Show on Friday at Noon!)
For those entering grades 5 – 8 during the 2019-2020 school year
Let your creativity shine at WCCC this summer during our week long art camp! This camp will cover various art mediums and concepts, with an art show at the end!

Conservation Law Camp
July 8-12, 2019 8:30am-4pm
ATTENTION 8th-10th graders!!
Do you love the Maine outdoors and have an interest in fishing, canoeing, hiking, and wildlife? Our all new Conservation Law Camp is for you! Experience hands-on activities from a local retired Maine Game Warden and learn about careers available in the Conservation Law field including Game Warden, Marine Patrol, and Forestry. Campers will meet each morning at Washington County Community College to prepare for the activities of the day and will travel to various expedition locations. Camp is $75 for the week.
Scholarships may be available.
